This ride is run as an "indian style" relay. Each van is responsible for riding a certain number of miles (usually 130 - 170 miles at a stretch). At the end of each ride, another van of officers begins riding, and they do the same. The first van travels up to 600 miles to wait for their turn to ride again. We average between 15 and 17 miles per hour for the duration of the ride. Sounds like fun, eh? :)
