The Start
- Sam Houston Race Park 5:30 am Registration - 7:00 mass start On the day of the event, package pick up and late registration begin at 5:30 am at the Sam Houston Race Park in northwest Houston. (Beltway 8 near Fairbanks N. Houston) Mass start is at 7:00 am sharp. Latest start is 7:30 am. There will be five break points along the route. NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURRED FOR 1999. CHECK BACK FOR THE 2000 UPDATE!! The Fred Hartman and Kemah Bridges At the 47 mile mark cyclists will cross the dramatic Fred Hartman Bridge. At mile 61 the Kemah Bridge signals the upcoming Finish Line at the Kemah Boardwalk. Lunch provided for all registered riders. The Finish Line - Kemah Boardwalk Spend the day with your family and friends who meet you or return with us by bus. All buses and cycles depart at one time around 1:30 pm and return to Sam Houston Race Park. Return Transportation Reservations Required Check box on entry. The official ride marshals for the event are the Houston Police Department (HPD) Bicycle Relay Team members. These special officers will be warming up for their 4,410 mile ride from Houston to Fairbanks, Alaska in June! The HPD Relay Team has raised over $2million and pedaled over 32,000 miles to help catch this killer called leukemia. Join their effort by registering today!!
